6 Repairs to Consider Making Before Listing your Home

If you are planning to list your home, you will want it to hit the market in the best shape possible. You want it to impress buyers as soon as they pull into the driveway. That said, you don't need to tear down the house and start over (unless you actually do.)

Here are 6 repairs to focus on…

Paint. One of the cheapest, easiest ways to update your home and get it ready to list. Plus, you don’t need to be a pro. Just queue up YouTube, pick your colors, and get to rolling. Think neutral tones.

Exterior. Help buyers locate your home by refreshing house numbers and boosting curb appeal with fresh mulch and planters filled with annuals. Have more time? Pressure wash your driveway and sidewalks.

Kitchen. Give cabinets, appliances, and backsplashes a serious scrubbing. Install new hardware and light fixtures and replace countertops if needed. Don’t do a full ...

What to Check on Your Final Walk-Through

ASK.ANSWERED.SOLD.

What to Check on Your Final Walk-Through

The final walk-through of your new home is an exciting event. It means you have successfully maneuvered through negotiations, inspections, and financing approval, and are on the verge of signing your closing papers.

Most buyers attend the final walk-through with thoughts of furniture placement, paint colors in their heads, and maybe a measuring tape in hand. But the walk-through is about more than just making sure your favorite chair will fit by the fireplace. Be sure to do your due diligence to make sure there are no issues that should be resolved before you reach the closing table.

The purpose of the final walk-through is to ascertain that the home is being conveyed to you in the same condition it was when you agreed to purchase it. Here are a few of the things you should check:

1) Make sure no damage has occurred to the home that the sellers are responsible for repairing. Weather c ...

How to Get Pre-Approved to Purchase a Home

ASK.ANSWERED.SOLD.

HOW TO GET PRE-APPROVED TO PURCHASE A HOME

Start your home buying journey with a Mortgage Pre-Approval!  Once you find the home you want to buy, you will need to include your Pre-Approval Letter with your offer. In today’s Markert, sellers will reject an offer without the letter attached before the ink drys.

Unfortunately, this is standard practice and if you want to buy a home you WILL have to get Pre-Approved.

But rest assured, having that letter in hand will make the rest of your transaction run smoothly! Here are some steps you can take to get ready for your meeting with a Lender…

DM me, and I’ll send over a list of lenders I know and trust.
